Atlanta Vision has won 2 Divisional Championships in the last 3 seasons.  The art of war requires a full understanding of the rules of engagement and the adjustments needed to conquer.  With that in mind, for the first time in Vision history, we are offering a Mid-Season opportunity for those desiring to compete and earn a roster spot.

Every year, Atlanta Vision has helped players obtain a professional contract overseas.  Many of these opportunities occur during the middle or end of the Atlanta Vision season.  This season, we are being much more proactive in the need of filing open roster spots that become available during crucial time periods.  In order to win a championship, we must be completely sound and poised for battle.

According to population estimates released April 2007 by the U.S. Census Bureau, the Atlanta metro area gained 890,000 residents from April 1, 2000, to July 1, 2006, the largest numerical gain of the nation’s 361 metro areas. Also according to the U.S. Census Bureau, 2006 American Community Survey, 23% of those living in Metro Atlanta are living with incomes below poverty level, 40% of whom are children under 18 years of age.

Around the world The Salvation Army has become well known for its readiness to provide emergency family and personal assistance both quickly and compassionately to those in need. Such assistance can, and often does, include emergency food, clothing, shelter, prescription assistance, utility turn-off prevention, and eviction assistance grants.

Last year alone, more than 200,000 individuals and families from the Metro Atlanta Area turned to and received assistance from one or more of The Salvation Army programs for the homeless, impoverished and at-risk.

Each year, the 11Alive Can-A-Thon helps to raise over 130,000 pounds of non-perishable and canned food for the Salvation Army’s area food-pantries. These food items are then sorted and distributed via food-baskets to Atlanta’s neediest families during the holidays and throughout the year.
